11 years of Giving Back!

On December 15th, our students participated in “Backpack Day." Every student packed a backpack for a homeless person living on the streets in Baltimore or Annapolis. Each backpack was filled with new items, including thermal underwear, sweatshirt, socks, hat, gloves and a Christmas card handmade by the student! After stuffing the backpacks, students loaded them onto the trucks that will transport them to the homeless in Baltimore and Annapolis on Christmas Eve. The effort is part of the larger “Giving Back-Linda’s Legacy” project that is dedicated to assisting the homeless in our area. According to the Giving Back-Linda’s Legacy organization, School of the Incarnation sponsors more backpacks than ALL OTHER SCHOOLS IN ANNE ARUNDEL COUNTY COMBINED! Students open their hearts and their piggy banks in amounts of approximately $20,000 each year to sponsor almost 1000 backpacks.
