John Paul II Scholarships awarded

At our Closing Liturgy, the John Paul II Character in Leadership Scholarships were awarded by the School Board to three very deserving students.  Each year, the School Board at School of the Incarnation awards these scholarship to three students – one each to a 5th grader, a 6th grader and a 7th grader.   These scholarships, traditionally funded by donations from current and past school board members, are awarded to students who exhibit outstanding character, show concern for others, and contribute to the school’s community through their leadership in academics, extra-curricular activities, and service. The application process includes an original student essay, list of service activities, and two letters of recommendation. Each student receives a medal, a book about Pope John Paul II, and a $1000 scholarship to be used toward the next year’s tuition. Father Andy imparted a special blessing on the students. Congratulations to all three winners and their families, and thank you to all students who submitted applications. It is heartening to read about the ways that young students are engaging in community service! We are proud of you all!
